I believe in finding the trend on a higher timeframe (HTF) and trading it on a LTF. At the start of the trend there will often be momentum. Finding Momentum on HTF gives nice trades on LTF. I use the Daily to find momentum and trade the M30.

This post #1 will be alive and updated frequently. So just because you have read it - you should do it again frequently. I will not provide a template. If you cannot easily make your own template, then you will not be able to trade this strategy - or any other strategy.

Strategy has changed a bit at 28. April 2025. In stead of using the MA's I am now going all in using the Smoothed Heiken Ashi. You could say I am home again. This has been my strategy for years now.

I have made a couple of helping robots for you guys. More about that below.

On the screen set up the Smoothed Heiken Ashi - hereafter called SHA. Data 1.20.1.1. The 20 is the Moving Average. You can use whatever you like. There are more trades if you use 10, but they are also a bit more unsecure.

Now put on the MACD and the CCI indicators which are attached to this post. Use he default settings. They works fine.

Now to the rules.
They will be improved further later.

1. Use the daily timeframe. (H4 could do if you want more action)
2. Find a nice trending instrument. This is very important. Use the Daily and weekly timeframe to identify it. I will show one trick using Smoothed Heiken Ashi.
3. Enter Long when a bar cross over the SHA upper Moving Average and CCI and MACD are green. SHA shall turn blue. at latest at the next bar, otherwise exit the trade. The opposite for Shorting.

Exits - will be described during today.

1. RRW.
2. Crossing opposite SHA.
3. Heiken Ashi exit (Not SHA).
4. MIKA exit.
5. SuperTrend.
6. SAR.

NOTE: I always exit on the close of the bar - never on the spike. Therefore my placed stoploss is always far away from my planned stoploss. Then I use a robot for exitting on the close of bars. This way my SL's cannot be hit by SL hunters using spikes.

1. Winneralarm_3. An indicator. Gives an alert whenever a bar cross the Moving Average. Just set the Moving_Average parameter to the same value as you use in your SHA. The alarm works on the present timeframe. So if you change the timeframe, you will get the alarms present at the time in that timeframe. You can get alert on the screen, on your mobile and you can get a colourchange at alarms. See attached chart with colouralarms. This way I do not need to open charts hunting trades. Trade possibilities will be served for you. BUT!!!! It is possibilities. You must chose your trades wisely.
2. Automatic exit. I have made an ExitRobot. It needs a little update. I will upload a new version today.

Finding a nice instrument to trade.
I myself trade all 28 Forex pairs. Using my robots you will get a colour every time a possible trade occure. Find a nice behaving pair like this:


If you trade Long, then you can continue trading the M30 as long as the long bars on the Daily are green. Opposite for short. I have a few more tricks. They will come later.

See this - Cherry Picked - example where the bars were continuely green at the Daily. There are lots of nice trades on the M30.
